Laboratory-Based Surveillance of Multidrug-Resistant Organisms (2025-Present)
Monitoring AMR and virulence patterns using phenotypic testing and whole-genome sequencing across Ghana.
Status:
Ongoing
Objective
This study combines phenotypic and whole-genome sequencing to monitor antimicrobial resistance and virulence patterns in pathogens (bacteria and fungi) from clinical samples across Ghana. This project supports the early detection of high-risk clones and guides treatment strategies.
