Multidrug-resistant pathogens in hospital wastewater and environmental surfaces at 37 Military Hospital in Ghana (2025-Present)
Enhancing surveillance by using molecular tools to detect pathogens and resistance genes in hospital wastewater.
Status:
Ongoing
Objective
The objective of this study is to enhance wastewater surveillance in Accra. This project uses advanced molecular tools to detect pathogens and resistance genes in hospital wastewater and surrounding environments, thereby improving understanding of pathogen transmission between hospitals and surrounding communities.
