Antimicrobial Resistance and Molecular Epidemiology of ESKAPE Pathogens Associated with Community and Hospital-Acquired Infections in Ghana (2019-Present)
Examining AMR patterns and molecular characteristics of ESKAPE pathogens to inform clinical treatment strategies.
Status:
Ongoing
Objective
The ESKAPE project detects and examines antimicrobial resistance patterns and molecular characteristics of ESKAPE (Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species) pathogens from community- and hospital-acquired infections. This study provides data that inform clinical treatment and infection prevention strategies.
